Whether you go with a bright coloured vanity or a creative accent wall, there are several easy ways to add some highlights to your bathroom. Designers at I Heart Homez, KNS Architects and reD Architects share unique ways to enhance the look of your private havens…
IDEA 1: A Surge of Colour
Keeping in mind the modern aesthetic of this space, we wanted to use smart finishes and elements to complete the look. We went with a neutral grey for majority of the room, highlighting it with high gloss PU-finish cabinetry. Decorative lights merged with print patterns on the vanity unit, tie the space together wonderfully. Using print and colours in smaller ways rather than in the entire space makes a statement, adding to the vibrancy of the room.
IDEA 2: Featuring Mosaics
This bathroom presents a contemporary take on royal and elegant design. The floral mosaic patterned wall clubbed with a shiny gold basin adds a regal touch to the decor. Since the bathroom is quite small, having a feature wall with a defined concept enhances the look of the space. A compact space can be made to look bigger by selecting a light colour scheme, while the use of mirrors can add character to the bathroom too.
IDEA 3: Black, White And A Colour Pop
A monochromatic palette with an accent colour used only for the vanity counter.... The layering of black and white in varied patterns added an element of dynamism to the otherwise monochromatic space. A pop of colour should be singular, with its tone determining the energy of the space. Layering of colours, textures and tones within the space can create interesting accents.
